Brought to our attention by highly regarded songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and top TMR tip Ethan P. Flynn (who also produced and co-wrote the track) 'Skyline' is the memorable debut single from Swedish newcomer Tex. Built around a rhythmic guitar sequence, layered up with whining lead lines, a subtle four-to-floor kick stabilises the minimal production as Tex's characterful vocals take centre stage. Enhanced by ethereal reverbs in all the right spots, the accomplished vocal melody tells a story of budding romance, whilst processing the fall out of a previous relationship. Tex explains: “This song is about the fear and insecurities that can come with a newfound love...the lyrics were written after I went through a breakup and found someone new.
